6:00pm cst: Cleveland Cavaliers (-5.5) vs. Charlotte Hornets
These two just played each other on Sunday and Cleveland will be without Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen tonight. Charlotte had the lead for the vast majority of the game but melted down at the end losing by 6 points. I don’t want anything to do with the spread here. It is too short for the Hornets even without Spider. Darius Garland point total is a bit too juiced for me so I’m going more towards the Hornets again who have shorter numbers and I expect to be competitive.
Pick: PJ Washington Over 15.5 Points (-115)
Terry Rozier Over 21.5 Points (-115)
6:00pm cst: Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards (-13)
Here is an interesting game with Detroit sitting almost their whole team. Kyle Kuzma will be out for the Wizards. This is a nasty game with all the injuries for Detroit but it allows for some really cheap prop prices on the Pistons players. Let’s go that route, the road less traveled. McGruder is an NBA scorer but there is no respect for him in the points market. Omoruyi put up enough shots when he started against the Pacers to give himself a shot at hitting his short number as well. The Wizards players numbers are a bit steep so I can’t look that way. If you really want things to be interesting - play Rodney McGruder for over 20 points
Pick: Rodney McGruder Over 11.5 Points (-115)
Eugene Omoruyi Over 14.5 Points (-105)
6:30pm cst: Denver Nuggets vs. Toronto Raptors (-1)
The last time these two met there was plenty of drama. Raptors had a huge lead and then blew it. It was mostly due to some dicey officiating in the last two minutes of the game. I guarantee the Raptors and Scottie Barnes have not forgotten about that game. I’ll be all over the Raptors in this one because I see them taking this game personal. If you like Denver here I would look towards Aaron Gordon. I was on the fence on playing VanVleet and Siakam but these are lower, easier numbers to hit I feel.
Pick: Raptors -1
Jakob Poeltl Over 13.5 Points (+100)
Scottie Barnes Over 26.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)
Gary Trent Jr. Over 11.5 Points (-110)
7:10pm cst: Brooklyn Nets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (-1.5)
The Brooklyn Nets are red hot covering its last 6 games in a row while the Thunder have won 6/7 games. It sounds like Shae Gilgeous-Alexander will be starting lineup tonight. This number is tight and OKC does not have a great track record against the Eastern Conference. The player prop numbers are steep on both sides. Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges have not had success against the Thunder historically.
Pick: Dario Saric Over 7.5 Points (-115)
Josh Giddey Over 30.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-120)
7:00pm cst: LA Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans (+1)
Last game out the NO Pelicans had an incredible shooting game especially from Trey Murphy III who had a career high 41 points. The Lakers are coming off a loss to the New York Knicks in LA but D’Angelo Russell has really been playing well since being back. Anthony Davis back in New Orleans tonight and I’m not sure what Brandon Ingram’s status is at this time.
Pick: D’Angelo Russell Over 20.5 Points (-130)
Rui Hachimura Over 9.5 Points (-120)
Herb Jones Over 9.5 Points (-115)
7:00pm cst: Orlando Magic (-5.5) vs. San Antonio Spurs
This may be a lackluster game here with the Spurs dealing with “injuries” and there is no telling how they will play or who will be playing. This game just went off the board with 1 hour until tip off so we’ll see who plays for SA. The Spurs forwards at 15.5 points could be looked at for overs but there’s not much I like here. You never know what you get with the Spurs and their sporadic lineups.
Pick: Paolo Banchero Over 20.5 Points (-130)
9:00pm cst: New York Knicks (-3) vs. Portland Trail Blazers
This should be a good game but Jalen Bruson will be out for the Knicks. We know Jerami Grant is out for the Blazers and we are just waiting on Lillard’s status.
Pick: Trail Blazers +2
Damian Lillard Over x Points (DK taking forever to post)
Immanuel Quickley Over 19.5 Points (-120)
9:00pm cst: Milwaukee Bucks (-1.5) vs. Phoenix Suns
The Bucks grabbed a great win on the road against the Kings and the Suns got clobbered by the Warriors. The Suns have been struggling without KD because they have an incomplete roster with no depth. If Giannis is playing I like the Bucks here. Middleton and Grayson Allen are out. Just waiting on more info so we can finalize here. Giannis has a huge total for points, rebounds & assists but I’m not too sure I want to fade him here. 50.5 is a lot for him after he had a huge night last night.
Pick: DeAndre Ayton Over 18.5 Points (-105)
Jrue Holiday Over 29.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)
