College Hoops Super Tuesday
After a run of 7 winning cards in a row we finally have a losing day going (1-2) thanks to an underwhelming performance from TCU. As stated yesterday, if Kansas beats TCU on the road, which they did, and beat UT on the road I believe they will win the National Championship. Let’s get after it!

Villanova Wildcats vs. Xavier Musketeers (-4.5); total 147; 5:30pm ct
Nova had a spirited effort on the road against Providence but it just wasn’t enough as the Friars eventually ran away with the game. Xavier went back and forth last week against Marquette on the road eventually losing the game. I expect Xavier to have a successful game tonight as they did earlier in the season against Villanova. Xavier is one game out of 1st place in the Big East so this is a huge game and there’s no time to mess around. X won by 8 on the road against Nova and I expect more of the same tonight from a hungry Musketeers side.
Baylor Bears vs. Kansas State Wildcats (+1.5); total 148; 6:00pm ct
The Wildcats won the first matchup between these two on the road earlier in the season. Will we have another Kansas vs. TCU angle where the road team gets revenge? Baylor shot almost 40 FTs in that game.. will they have the same advantage on the road? Jerome Tang stole game one against his mentor, will he win game 2? Baylor has a date with UT and a chance for the Big 12 Championship this weekend so this could be a look ahead spot. I like K-State and the home crown because Baylor has not had the best success on the road. The Wildcats only have 1 home loss.
Tennessee Volunteers vs. Texas A&M Fightin’ Aggies (-2); total 128.5; 6:00pm
I know Buzz Williams and the Fightin’ Aggies have had this game circled on their calendar after the SEC Championship game last season. The Volunteers embarrassed the Aggies, its Cinderella title run and NCAA Tournament hopes. These Aggies are a game behind Alabama in the SEC standings and have a realistic shop at winning the conference. The home crowd will be rockin’ and this is no time to spurn the Aggies who have made us plenty of money. Lay the points and this Aggies defense will look to suffocate the Volunteers.
Akron Zips vs. Toledo Rockets (-4); total 148; 6:00pm ct
The Rockets destroyed the Zips a couple weeks agon on the road. Now Toledo will be the home team where they have been dominant and the Zips has struggled as road dogs. I like the Rockets to stay hot here and run through the Zips once again.
Texas Tech Red Raiders (+2.5) vs. Oklahoma Sooners; total 136.5; 8:00pm ct
Tech is one of the hottest teams in the country right now, crawling its way back into the NCAA Tournament conversation. This is basically a play in battle because every game matters at this point in the season. You never know which OU team will show up. With Texas Tech at least we know we will get a strong defensive effort. This game should be a pick so I’m siding with the Red Raiders here getting points.
