TCU Horned Frogs -3.5 vs. North Carolina Tar Heels; Total 54.5
Yesterday was a tough 0-2 day, and before that, we picked the wrong dog moneylines. TCU boasts a strong quarterback in Josh Hoover, but UNC counters with a talented QB of their own. Not many may have watched Gio Lopez at South Alabama, but he’s a dynamic player who can both run and pass effectively. It’s no surprise that this marks Bill Belichick’s first game as head coach at North Carolina. He brings a wealth of experience, though it’s been some time since he coached at the college level. Expectations are high, and if anyone can mold a group of new players into a cohesive unit, it’s him. I’m hesitant to lay the hook in games, especially on the road. Both teams are eager to return to better days, and it all starts tonight. TCU may have the edge in defensive talent, but UNC’s defensive coordinator, Steve Belichick, did an impressive job at the University of Washington before joining his father in Chapel Hill. With so many new pieces on both sides, it’s hard to predict what to expect. I’m backing Lopez, Belichick in their debuts in front of the home crowd getting that hook.
