  • 11AM CT: Iowa State Cyclones vs. Kansas State Wildcats -3; Total 50.5

Yes, it’s finally time for the 2025-26 college football season! We kick off in Ireland with Farmageddon! Both teams boast talented quarterbacks, with Rocco Becht and Avery Johnson leading the way. Behind them, expect a strong backfield, so anticipate plenty of running on natural grass today. I believe today’s game will be decided in the trenches. Iowa State’s offensive line is the weakest in this matchup, which is why I’m giving the nod to K-State. Since this should be a run-heavy game, the line-of-scrimmage play will be crucial. The Cyclones’ secondary is also a question mark. Last year, ISU and Becht had their breakout season; now, it’s Avery Johnson and K-State’s turn. They’ll start by shaking off their Farmer Bowl losing streak! EMAW.

  • 5:30PM CT: Fresno State Bulldogs vs. Kansas Jayhawks -14; Total 50.5

The Kansas Jayhawks will finally play in their home stadium after being away for at least a year. I expect a great crowd for the Jayhawks and QB Jalon Daniels’ return. Fresno State’s team is undergoing a major overhaul from last season with a new regime in place. They have a lot to rebuild. Kansas, on the other hand, is ready to make another push for the Big 12 crown. This Jayhawks team has too much firepower returning for the rebuilding Bulldogs. I bet on Kansas earlier in the week at -12.5, and now the spread is up to -14. I’m expecting a big game from KU.

  • 6:00PM CT: Sam Houston Bearkats vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers -10; Total 61.5

I don’t think we’ll see much defense in this matchup. Phil Longo has returned to Sam Houston, so expect a high-paced offense that spreads the ball around. WKU should have a strong offense, but its defense is worrisome. I can see a shootout in this game, and with Sam Houston getting 10 points, it’s hard to pass up. I think Longo can keep his team in the game with a few tricks up his sleeve.

  • 6:30PM CT: Stanford Cardinal vs. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors -2.5; Total 50.5

This is definitely the most interesting game of the day! Hawaii has a ton of hype coming into this season with a young, hotshot quarterback and an offense full of speedy weapons. Timmy Chang may finally have an offense that can do some damage this season. Let’s not sleep on Stanford. Two years ago, it felt like Hawaii had the same type of hype, and I would know because I bet on the Rainbow Warriors to upset Stanford, and they lost. Nobody is giving the Cardinal a chance in this game. Stanford wasn’t as bad as I remembered last season, and they’ll be hungry to get more than three wins this season. Time to zig with the Cardinal, now led by General Andrew Luck and coach Frank Reich.

Play: Stanford +2.5 (-108) [via DraftKings]
