DC comes into this game after losing in the XFL Championship last season. They will be going up against the new San Antonio Brahmas head coach Wade Phillips. The Brahmas quarterback will be Chase Garbers from Cal. I don’t think he has very much experience. I feel like we will get plenty of points in this game with how familiar QB Jordan Ta’amu is already in the DC offense. I’ll take the points here looking for the shootout. Will Wade Phillips’ new defense be able to slow down the Defenders offense? That’s what it will come down to in this one. Ta’amu also had turnover issues last season.

The Showboats will be starting an experienced QB in Josh Love who has played two years in the USFL. They weren’t great season but he has some starts under his belt. Jarrett Guarantano will be making his first career start in spring football with the Roughnecks. I was not a fan of his when he was at Tennessee. With plenty of unknowns for both teams. I will back the experienced QB.
