NFL Season Record: 34-34-7 - Betting 1 Unit to Win X

  • 12:00pm cst: Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens -3.5; Total 46.5

Both of these teams had massive wins last week so I am not expecting any sort of “let down”. I did take this last night when Baltimore was -3 (-120). I am seeing some 3’s still available and it might dip back down between now and kick. This Dolphins do tend to struggle against better teams and defenses as we saw last week where the Cowboys forced them to kick long field goals with only scoring one touchdown. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are moving at the right time in the season. This game is also massive in regards to AFC home field for the playoffs. The Dolphins beat the Ravens last year by four points after Baltimore blew a 35-14 4th quarter lead. I’m thinking it is time for revenge. It will be twice as sweet with Baltimore holding onto that #1 spot.

Pick: Ravens -3 (-127) [via BetOnline]

  • 12:00pm cst: New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills -14; Total 40

This matchup tends to give us a close games and this will be a cold one at about 35 degrees at kickoff. After his first start, which was in a rain storm, Bailey Zappe seems to have settled into the starting QB position. We never know what we are going to get with the Buffalo Bills either. I do like the Patriots defense and how tough they play when defending the run. The Bills to play the Dolphins next week so maybe there is a little lack of focus? A possible look ahead spot today. If the Patriots do not turn the ball over they can keep this one close.

Pick: Patriots +14 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 12:00pm cst: New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2.5; Total 42

We basically have a playoff game here. If the Saints win their playoff hopes are still alive. If Tampa Bay wins I believe they would lock up the NFC South championship. Huge game for both teams. I do not like to bet the Saints outdoors and away from home. The Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield have been hotter than anyone in the month of December. I cannot ignore that. I am going to continue to back this Buccaneers squad and they are not even laying a FG at home.

Pick: Buccaneers -2.5 9-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 12:00pm cst: Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars -4; Total 37

There will be no Trevor Lawrence today for the Jags but that would not have stopped me anyway. Bryce Young and the Panthers are trending in the right direction at the end of the season unlike the Jaguars who are on a four game losing streak. Jacksonville has also been worse at home than they have been on the road. I am definitely taking the points here with a newly hungry Panthers squad.

Pick: Panthers +4 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 12:00pm cst: Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears -3; Total 39

We have another game that has large playoff implications. The have been hot since the return of Justin Fields with the exception of the blown game against the Browns. This Falcons team is hard to trust due to their issues at the QB position. This game should be played in the 30’s in Chicago so a dome team like Atlanta may struggle. Again, let’s ride the hot hand.

Pick: Bears -3 (-108) [via DraftKings]

AFTERNOON SLATE

  • 3:00pm cst: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks -4; Total 40.5

Steelers back on the road after their dominating home victory against the Bengals last week. Both teams are battling for playoff spots so obviously it is a big game. I rather lay the points with the Seahawks at home. The offense for the Seahawks is heating up and I rather not take the Steelers on the road.

Pick: Seahawks -4 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 3:30pm cst: Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos -3.5; Total 38

The Broncos have been dealing with drama all week and now the NFL has just made a statement that they handled the Russell Wilson situation in an illegal manner. So, even more drama to pile on. I’ll take the points with the Chargers getting a FG and the hook with an invigorated Chargers team with their interim coaches. Giff!

Pick: Chargers +3.5 (-115) [via DraftKings]

  • 3:30pm cst: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs -7; Total 38

Another game with plenty of playoff implications. The Bengals were embarrassed last week against the Steelers so I expect a better performance in this rivalry game. The Chiefs have shown us nothing. They can’t play any worse than they did against the Raiders. I feel this spread has just run a little too high at this point.

Pick: Bengals +7 (-110) [via DraftKings]

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

  • 7:15pm cst: Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings -1; Total 42

We have another rivalry game that is essentially a playoff game. Winner stays in the playoff hunt and the loser goes home packing (no pun intended). The Packers have been so up and down and should have loss to the Panthers last week in my opinion. The Vikings have been playing Russian Roulette with their backup quarterbacks since Kirk Cousins went out for the season. Vikings played a strong game against the Lions but with all of the turnovers they really took themselves out of the game. I rather back the team that has been showing promise. The Packers feel too obvious with the rookie Jaren Hall starting at QB for Minnesota but I have a good rating on Hall from him coming out of BYU. I’ll roll the dice in prime time.

Pick: Vikings -1 (-110) [via DraftKings]
