NBA Playoffs Sides Record: 4-6 (-1.86 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X
It’s time for the NBA Playoffs! We had a great NBA season winning over seven units but it’s time for the playoffs. We will have plays on the spread for each game as we did last season when we were very successful. This season we are including our props that are also good to use in PrizePicks lineups from our Prop Department. I will be sticking to sides only after a rough Day 1. Let’s go!
6:00pm ct: Orlando Magic vs. Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5; Total 205.5
The Cleveland Cavaliers came out red hot from beyond the arc in Game 1. They then proceeded to go ice cold, which allowed Orlando to to sneak back into the game. Orlando could not close that gap completely and the Cavs ran away late in the 3Q. The real story of the game was the way Cleveland dominated the boards outrebounding Orlando 54 to 40. When I was watching the game it felt like the Cavs were getting every bad bounce or long rebound due to missed three pointers. Of course, the two big men for Cleveland still dominated the paint with 29 rebounds between the two. The other games between these two recently had close rebounding totals. I also felt the Magic had plenty of wide open opportunities but they just didn’t go in. I know that is the name of the game but usually when that happens it flips the next game. The Magic played a strong second half and I think that is how they will respond tonight as well.
Play: Magic +5.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]
6:30pm ct: Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks -4.5; Total 206
Money continues to come in on the 76ers but I am not buying it. Knicks have dominated this series except for the crazy three point shooting from the Sixers in Game 1. Nobody else has stepped up other than Embiid for Philly. Well they answer the bell?
Play: Knicks -4.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]
Prop: Isaiah Hartenstein Assists UNDER 2.5 (+102) [via DraftKings]
9:00pm ct: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets -7; Total 223
The Lakers play the Nuggets tough but LeBron just cannot get enough help from the rest of the team. Anthony Davis had a great game but against Denver anytime he has a great game he has a massive let down. I can only look towards the Nuggets until the Lakers prove otherwise on the road. They also get winded (Davis) noticeably in the second half.
Play: Nuggets -7 (-110) [via DraftKings]
Prop: Austin Reaves Assists UNDER 4.5 (-135) [via DraftKings]
