NBA Playoffs Record: 6-5 (+0.63 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X
It’s time for the NBA Playoffs! We had a great NBA season winning over seven units but it’s time for the playoffs. We will have plays on the spread for each game as we did last season when we were very successful. This season we are including our props that are also good to use in PrizePicks lineups from our Prop Department. I will be sticking to sides only after a rough Day 1. Let’s go!
12:00pm ct: Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics -14; Total 209
This is an outrageous number. No Jimmy Butler for the Heat but the Celtics struggle against he Heat. It doesn’t matter who is in the starting lineup. The rest of the Miami players are capable of playing tough defense and keeping this game close. Boston will be out for revenge after last postseason but they haven’t played a meaningful game in some time. Miami has two playoff games under its belt already and one without Jimmy Butler. I think the Heat’s defense and toughness will keep this game close as the pressure will be on the Celtics.
Play: Heat +14 (-110) [via DraftKings]
2:30pm ct: Dallas Mavericks -3.5 vs. Los Angeles Clippers; Total 221.5
We know there won’t be any Kawhi Leonard in this game and we aren’t sure when we will see him. Both of these teams were red hot prior to locking up their playoff positions. Clippers have experience playing without Kawhi. Dallas is healthy and playing some of their best basketball. I think the Clippers have a hot start against Dallas and take the opening game like they did against Phoenix last season. The home team has won and covered in every playoff game so far but will that continue? Clippers has played the Mavs tough all season.
Play: Clippers +3.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]
Play: Clippers ML (+140) [via DraftKings]
6:00pm ct: Indiana Pacers -1 vs. Milwaukee Bucks; Total 230.5
The Pacers have dominated this series against the Bucks even with Giannis on the floor. Now, the Bucks are at home but no Giannis. Will Milwaukee be able to keep up with the Pacers’ high paced offense defensively? I think the road team gets the first win of the NBA Playoffs here in Milwaukee.
Play: Pacers -1 (-110) [via DraftKings]
Prop: Tyrese Haliburton Points + Rebounds + Assists OVER 35.5 (-118) [via DraftKings]
Prop: Damian Lillard Points OVER 29.5 (-102) [via DraftKings]
8:40pm ct: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder -9; Total 215.5
This is going to be a ridiculously loud crowd tonight in OKC. Pelicans have struggled against the Thunder in the regular season and the home teams have been dominated so far in the Playoffs. I can only look one way in this game.
Play: Thunder -9 (-110) [via DraftKings]
