Vidanta Vallarta, Vallarta, Mexico

The sun is shining, the tequila is flowing, and the greens are calling at the Mexico Open at Vidanta! This isn’t just any golf tournament; it’s a fiesta of fairways under the vibrant Mexican sky. We should have beautiful golfing weather in Mexico this weekend, something we haven’t been used to at the start of the PGA season. Weather was not a factor for Hideki Matsuyama on Sunday. He started six shots behind and clawed his way back to the top with a final round of 62, carding nine birdies.

We had a losing weekend at the Genesis Invitational after a very poor final round. Our Top 20 tickets were inside the number entering the final round but could not finish where we needed them. Join us as we try to get back into the green in Mexico.

The Field:

Only four players in the field at the Mexico Open at Vidanta have qualified for the Arnold Palmer Invitational: Tony Finau, Emiliano Grillo, Mackenzie Hughes, and Patrick Rodgers. Finau is the highest-rated player in the field and the defending champion at Vidanta. Brandon Wu is a name to watch as he finished both years in Mexico in the top 3. There will also be eight players from Mexico in the field. There will not be the PGA stars like last week, but plenty of talent will be at Vidanta.

The Course:

At Vidanta Vallarta the total purse will be $8.1 million with first prize getting $1,458,000 including 500 FedEx points.
