College Hoops Thursday

After Clemson and LSU had season high in 3PT shooting we had a (2-3) night pushing our record to 113-105-3 52% on the season. We have a gross slate of games today but let’s sniff out some winners and stay hot!

North Texas Mean Green (-3) vs. Charlotte 49ers; total 109.5; 6:00pm ct

These two met a week or so ago and the Mean Green dominated Charlotte. UNT led by 25 points at one time, forced Charlotte to shoot 31% and almost tripled them up on rebounds. The line was CLT +6.5 then and now only +3 at home. So a 3 point correction only for CLT playing at home? 49ers loss at home to FAU and went into OT but won against WKU. To me, this line should be at least 3 or 4. I’ll take the better team with a light line even though they are on the road, North Texas has only loss twice as the away team.

Northwestern Wildcats vs. Illinois Fighting Illini (-6); total 136.5; 8:00pm ct

Northwestern has been as hot as anybody but they have been playing at home. They finally travel for the first time in two weeks. The road games they did have were against the bottom of the Big Ten. I feel a huge let down spot coming for the Wildcats. I’ll lay this with Illinois who should have a strong home game after its road losing streak.

Washington State Cougars vs. Stanford Cardinal (-2); total 134.5; 10:00pm ct

I like Stanford and its defense in this late night affair. These teams are pretty evenly matched but I prefer Stanford at home rather than WSU who has gotten its last three wins at home. Let’s hope Stanford doesn’t have another late game meltdown like they did the last time we bet on them against ASU.
