College Baseball Wednesday

When it comes to our wagers, we place a bet of 1 unit to win x. For baseball, we set a floor at -165. While this might seem like a steep price, there are instances where the number should be -200.

In games where we have both a Money Line (ML) and Run Line (RL) bet, you have the flexibility to choose the price that suits you best, instead of playing both.

College Baseball Record: 34-40-1 (-5.47) units)

  • 3:00pm cst: Wichita State Shockers (+140) vs. Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (-180); Total 13.5

The Shockers are coming off a decent performance last weekend against some great competition (Virginia & Iowa). Oral Roberts started the season slow but after sweeping SIUE they might have gotten the show back on track. I’m a bit too hesitant to back the Shockers’ pitcher LHP Michael Mulhollon who struggled mightily last season. The Golden Eagles’ pitching staff ERA was 3.50 in their series sweep and I think they build on that.

Pick: Oral Roberts -1.5 (-115) [via DraftKings]

  • 4:00pm cst: Missouri State Bears (+210) vs. Ole Miss Rebels (-240); Total 14

Ole Miss has some of the best prospects in the country but they are about a year away. Missouri State is playing some great baseball so far this season. I think the Bears may actually have a better pitching staff as well. I’ll take the 3.5 runs but this is a moneyline I don’t mind getting in on.

  • 4:00pm cst: Abilene Christian Wildcats (+114) vs. Baylor Bears (-145); Total 14

This should be a good game with two solid pitchers. Baylor will have LHP RJ Ruais (2.08 ERA) against ACU’s LHP Brett Lanman (3.38 ERA). This is a steep price on Baylor. I am going with the under here in only our second total of the season.

  • 5:00pm cst: Michigan State Spartans (+220) vs. Georgia Bulldogs (-298); Total 13

This one is pretty cut and dry. Georgia won a tight one run game against Presbyterian last night. I think tonight the offense will break out against a much weaker MSU squad. A lot of runs but they have the potential to punish poor pitching.

  • 7:00pm cst: Long Beach State Dirtbags (+130) vs. UCLA Bruins (-166); Total 11.5

UCLA played last night in what was a comeback victory over Nevada. We do not know who the Bruins will have on the mound tonight. LBSU will have right handed freshman Josh Donegan who has 5 innings of one hit baseball under his belt. This is a close matchup. After sweeping Gonzaga I rated UCLA strongly but after getting swept by TCU (great team) I have reconsidered. Let’s take a shot with the in state rival Dirtbags.

Pick: Long Beach State (+130) [via DraftKings]

  • 8:00pm cst: Michigan Wolverines (-125) vs. Loyola Marymount Lions (-105); Total 11.5

In my opinion, Michigan was very fortunate last night in its victory against USC. They did take advantage of USC’s mistakes. I do not think the same happens tonight against a game LMU side. I was hoping for plus money here but I’m still backing the Lions.
