TAMPA - All Elite Wrestling had their most successful show to date, breaking a massive record for the highest-attended wrestling event in history. The new wrestling company announced that their pay-per-view live event, All In, at Wembley Stadium, seated 81,035 fans. With this attendance, it now breaks competitor WWE’s record at Wrestlemania 32 of 80,709.
AEW had a massive card starting with Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) defending their Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles against the team of Adam Cole and MJF. Adam Cole has stated how much his time in Ring of Honor meant to him and regrets never holding the tag titles. MJF agreed to fight for more gold and to fight alongside new friend Adam Cole.
Next on the card is Jack Perry defending the FTW Title against the former champion Hook. These two have had a massive rivalry that stemmed from Hook losing the title to Perry back in July after Perry used the title as a weapon to get the three-count.
CM Punk would go to war against longtime rival Samoa Joe for the Real World Championship. This rivalry has been going on for many years as it started in TNA and through their time in Ring of Honor. Many fans have been waiting for the rivalry to come full circle as the last time that CM Punk and Samoa Joe fought each other would be in 2005 for Ring of Honor for the Ring of Honor World Title where both men would face James Gibson and Christopher Daniels in a Four-Way Elimination match.
“Hangman” Adam Page would team with Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi against Bullet Club Gold (Juice Robinson and Jay White) and Konosuke Takeshita. This battle was between former and current Bullet Club members. Kenny Omega was betrayed by Jay White in New Japan, and Takeshita in AEW, being attacked by Takeshita during an interview on Dynamite. Jay White is the leader of Bullet Club Gold, having taken control of the faction since Omega left New Japan.
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) put their World Tag Titles on the line against The Young Bucks. After FTR successfully defended their tag titles against Brian Cage and Big Bill on Collision, they said that they had done everything that they had set out to do except beat The Young Bucks. The Bucks accepted their challenge after defeating the Hardy’s.
Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Best Friends, and Penta El Zero Miedo would do battle against the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), with Santana and Ortiz in tow, in a Stadium Stampede match.
This rivalry stems from the Blackpool Combat Club wreaking havoc in AEW with vicious attacks on multiple superstars on the roster. Moxley has attacked Orange Cassidy multiple times; Wheeler Yuta has attacked the likes of Chris Jericho, MJF, and Kenny Omega; Santana and Ortiz attacked Eddie Kingston two weeks ago on Dynamite. It all comes to a head at Stadium Stampede.
Like the match in 2005, a four-way match would take place, and it would be for the AEW Women’s World Title. Hikaru Shida would take on Toni Storm, Saraya, and former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Toni Storm activated her rematch clause, and Saraya will be competing in front of her home crowd.
Darby Allin and Sting take on Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage in a coffin match. While feuding on Dynamite, Swerve recruited AR Fox. Swerve and Fox attacked Allin’s friend Nick Wayne, prompting Darby to challenge them to a match at All In. However, after Fox was kicked out of The Mogul Embassy, Christian Cage would save the day, taking his place in the match.
Will Ospreay takes on Chris Jericho. Before the pandemic, these two were supposed to go to war at the Tokyo Dome, but after some trickery by Don Callis, Will Ospreay attacked Jericho on Dynamite. However, after Jericho was attacked on Dynamite, he went to the independent show RevPro to attack his All In opponent.
The co-main event is the House of Black defending their AEW Trios Titles against Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed. Billy Gunn hasn’t held a tag team title since 2014 when The New Age Outlaws defeated the team of Cody Rhodes and Goldust at the Royal Rumble. The Acclaimed are no strangers to tag team gold after defeating Swerve In Our Glory at Dynamite: Grand Slam.
Finally, the main event would be epic as MJF gives Adam Cole his rematch. A couple of months ago on Dynamite, MJF gave Adam Cole a shot at the AEW Title in a match with a 30-minute time limit. Cole had MJF beat 1-2-. The clock ran out before the referee hit the three-count.
When Adam Cole asked MJF for 5 more minutes, MJF would slither out of the ring, only to give Cole the rematch at All In.
